IT Business Analyst - Contract - 12 months - Hampshire|
OIL & GAS BACKGROUND IS ESSENTIAL
Ability to prioritize, negotiate and execute in partnership with the business
IT Business Analyst will provide business analysis (BA) skills primarily focused on the creation of new technology and integration of information technology solutions for future growth projects.
Consult with IT and business partners on applying technology to business opportunities and planning and implementation of cross-functional applications
Collaborate with business partners, gathering and modeling business requirements/data, business processes and other business rules to ensure alternatives have been carefully considered and the chosen solution meets business objectives.
Elicit business requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis and/or viewpoints.
Decompose high-level business and user requirements into functional requirements and provide an appropriate level of detail suitable for use by the technical team, including offshore developers and work closely with the developers.
Gather appropriate documentation to produce a clear set of business requirements (e.g., processes, data, business rules, functions, test cases, etc.).
Develop and explore innovative options to address business requirements and vet within solution teams for proper solution suggestions
IT Business Analyst to meet with business unit individuals and plan and facilitate meetings:-
Act as liaison between future growth projects IT and the business for each project assigned.
Document, develop and finalize business and functional requirements.
IT Business Analyst to build solutions and transitional documentation for all aspects of projects.
Lead business-driven design and analysis of future growth projects IT initiatives and deliver processes and solution documentation to development teams to achieve the desired business outcomes
Participate in the business analyst process and have working knowledge of project management methodology.
