An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation, our client Unilever are currently looking for a Shift Engineer based at Unilever's prestigious facility in Burton upon Trent, Derby. This is a 39 hours week temporary role for a period of 3-6 months. This role is paying £37,250 PAYE (£185 Per Day LTD).

Working 8-hour rotating shifts to cover 24 hours per day, 5 days per week

* Maintenance of all equipment, including procuring spare parts and stores management
* Management and development of planned and predictive maintenance activities including instrumentation calibration
* Support and advise the packing team on engineering matters
* Support autonomous maintenance and ensure appropriate skill transfer
* Assurance of overall product quality
* Maintenance of good manufacturing practice standards throughout the factory
* Support operation of packing and process equipment to required safety, quality and performance standards
* Ensuring conformance with production plan
* Identification and delivery of improvements in safety, environmental and equipment performance & Supporting innovation activities
* Use of loss analysis to reduce and eliminate losses
* Training others and sharing of skills as appropriate

Desirable Key Experiences
* HNC in Engineering or equivalent experience
* Risk assessment and manual handling awareness
* Product safety/HACCP awareness
* Dual-skilled engineering experience
* Maintenance of packing and process plant and equipment
* PLC-based automated control systems
* Use of SAP - NPI purchasing and Stores Management
