Failure Analysis Engineer|
Are you a dynamic Engineer with experience in the Failure Analysis of optoelectronic products, looking to develop your career with a growing organisation working on ground-breaking technology? We are currently looking for a Failure Analysis Engineer to join a highly skilled team developing an innovative product.
In this role as Failure Analysis Engineer you will be responsible for defining and applying analysis techniques for failed devices including any issues with the optoelectronic capability of the materials. You will take a lead role in the progression of the company failure analysis capability, optimising opportunities for process improvement and development. We are looking for personable Failure Analysis Engineer with experience in a customer-facing role, as you will be working with external third parties, identifying services and equipment as required.
Failure Analysis of optoelectronic products and thin films
Comparing your findings with product performance data to continue device development
Developing relationships with external suppliers to source services and equipment
Designing bespoke test equipment and fixtures
Due to the highly technical nature of this role, we require a Failure Analysis engineer with a strong degree in a scientific/engineering discipline
You will have significant industry experience in the failure analysis of electronic devices in a high technology industry (semiconductor, MEMS, optics, optoelectronics, thin films, microscopy)
You will have experience working in either a development or manufacturing environment, contributing to the development of complex products
You will need effective communication skills, both written and verbal, as you will liaise directly with customers and suppliers to ensure test specifications are met
