Purpose of Role:
Take ownership of cost build and quote response documentation associated to the allocated stream of business.

When required, conduct site surveys in order to develop appropriate, cost effective structured cabling design solutions in line with contractual agreements, industry standards, H&S requirements and company directives.

Attend regional Customer offices to provide Structured Cabling Technical support.

Key Accountabilities

To enable the best possible win chance, review survey engineer reports to confirm standards & H&S compliance whilst ensuring cost effectiveness.
Negotiate best price with labour and/or material suppliers as deemed necessary.
Utilising published processes and associated documentation, create accurate cost builds and apply appropriate margins observing company guidelines and contractual SLA’s
Develop relationships with Client Sales and Account teams within the allocated geography
Update the Client provided and internal data bases with necessary information including opportunity specific notes, dates and financials
Provide support to the Pre Sales Manager and/or Design Consultants when responding to major bids
Perform the technical support and helpdesk function related to Client account teams, their end users and internal team member enquiries

To operate at all times observing contractual agreements, industry standards and the Health & Safety of employees and third parties, ensuring consistency with company and statutory obligations.
When required, in line with the level of responsibility, conduct site visits in order to ascertain installation scope, develop time and material summaries and associated solution design details to enable accurate priced quotations to be produced.
In verbal, written or in person communications, professionally represent the company at all times, protecting the company assets and its reputation.
In conjunction with line management, meet objectives, appraisal and development standards as set and agreed.
To propose and champion innovations and improvements to the business and its processes
To perform any other tasks as may be requested by the job holder’s line manager.

Experience & Training
Current structured cabling technology and standards awareness
Demonstrable structured cabling installation experience
H&S Training
Structured cabling survey, design & estimating experience
Good telephone manner and appropriate Customer facing abilities
Good understanding and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
