Our client is a small to medium sized well known principal contractor that work within the rail environment primarily working with Network rail and TFL. Their scope of works covers predominantly infrastructure work, including all aspects of station refurbishment and redevelopments, line extensions, and track redevelopments, and new build station work, along with fit-out and finishing both internally and externally, where they will work as principal contractor on site from start to finish.

Containment Route Management Systems (CRMS)
Platform to Train Interface Works
Depots & Sidings
Platform Extension and Modifications
Car Park Construction
Traffic Management
Civils and Drainage
Ticket Validation
Fire Compartmentation
Thermit Welding
Tower Maintenance
Embankment Stabilisation
Emergency Restoration Services
They are looking for a Project Manager from an engineering to work within there expanding to manage 3 sites at one time ranging from £50K up to £2M. the role will be based at their new head office in Slough and will require you to regularly visit the sites you oversee, liaising with both the client, the office team, and the agent on site to deliver the project to a high standard, on time and budget whilst keeping the sites a safe place to work.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of projects, including the build process, commercial and technical aspects, and managing Project Managers, Site Managers, and subcontractors on site to deliver the projects to completion within the allocated timescale and budget, liaising with the end client to assure the process is managed smoothly.

The ideal candidate will have:
• A minimum of 7 years experience in management positions within Rail
• A minimum of 3 years in a senior position
• Extensive project management experience within the Rail industry
• Comprehensive knowledge of CDM Regulations
• Experience of contract negotiation, business administration and process improvement
• NEC contract administration
• APMP or PRINCE2, Primavera P6
• Degree or HND in Civil Engineering, M&E Engineering, or similar
• People management skills
• Mentoring, development & presentation
• Strong leadership, decision making and resilience skills
• A good understanding of OGC project Governance/RICS/Gates processes
• A good understanding of managing risk, assumptions, Issues, Dependencies and Escalations

In return they are looking to offer a basic salary ranging form £50,000 + £60,000 with a £5K car allowance, bonus, pension, healthcare and other bonuses.
