Leading commercial construction company are looking to recruit a Project Manager to join their already succesful and growing team. The role will have a number of internal and client facing aspects. The Project Manager is a vital role within the business and is instrumental to the smooth running of the organisation. They are looking for someone who ideally has experience in the Aluminum Frames / Double Glazing Windows industry and has worked in a technical/project capacity.

Managing a team of seven including technical support engineers and support staff you will be responsible for the following:

Provide a technical telephone helpdesk service to the dealership.
Attendance at site meetings.
Offer back-up support in the areas of site monitoring, site problem investigation,toolbox training and product testing
Provide product information and capability guidance for all products and hardware to include advice on windloads, deadloads, thermals and structural capabilities.
Evaluate product concession requests accepting or rejecting as required. Also ensuring accurate records are maintained.
Maintain warranty log and co-ordinate the requirements of the Full Product Warranty (drawing, fabrication and installation audits).
Advising on dealer details and interfaces with inhouse systems.
Ensure all measurement data is current and available.
To include call logs, concession, and warranty data.
Attend CWCT/CAB technical committee meeting as required.
Support for internal and external training activities.

The successful candidate will need to have the following skills/qualifications:

People management skills.
Extensive product/sector knowledge.
Practical experience (e.g. sites, testing & dealer visits).
General industry & associated product knowledge (e.g. glass/glazing, sealants, hardware etc).
Contractual knowledge (e.g. standard form of contract).
Building Physics/terminology.F
Good understanding of structural considerations and application.
Moulding, Castings, EPDM Extrusions and tooling.
Structural Adhesives.
Site installation and finishing.
Acoustic and thermal performance.
Security Enhancements eg PAS24
Degree/HNC in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Civil, Design)
