Bridgeway Consulting offers a full engineering consultancy service covering all aspects of railway infrastructure including Geomatics, Site and Ground Investigations, Civil Engineering Consultancy & Permanent Way Projects, Rail Training and Competence, Assurance and Compliance, Track Access & Isolations and Cable Theft Security.

We are seeking to appoint a Geotechnical Senior Site Investigation Engineer. The individual will be responsible for contributing to the successful delivery of SI/GI projects.

Reporting to the SIGI Principal Project Manager, the Senior Site Investigation Engineer is responsible for the organisation and delivery of investigations works.

Managing geotechnical and ground investigation work/structural investigations work.
Ensuring that the ground/structural investigations operatives carries out regular safety inspections of projects as detailed in the general arrangements for health and safety and auditing and monitoring systems.
Be responsible for the delivery of work and associated client care.
Preparation of quotations, costing and service to clients.
Prepare financial and programme performance data for the Principal Project Manager.
Developing new customer database in and beyond the rail market.
Undertake safety critical duties in line with competencies held and certification gained.

The Senior Site Investigation Engineer has overall responsibility for implementing the safety standards of site based investigations/operations.
Ensuring that all staff work in accordance with approved methodology as set down in statutory/legal documents, ACOP and site specific documents, such as Work Package Plans.
All safety and quality responsibilities apply equally to the nominated person or a person temporarily covering the post unless specific advice to the contrary has been issued.

Degree level education in an associated discipline 7 years experience (preferred) or 10 years industry.
Railway ground investigation experience preferred but not essential
Preferably be CSCS (Construction Skills Certificate Scheme), but not essential
Demonstrate experience in site based techniques and associated plant.
