My client is a multi-disciplinary support services company in the Water and Waste Water sectors.|
Operating across the UK and Europe, they employ experts and specialists to provide their clients with Water Services solutions for their needs - waste water, flooding, pipe management, drainage, flow monitoring and more.
They are seeking a Ground Surveyor to join their team, based in Leeds, to gather data to produce mapping formation of underground and overhead distribution and supply services.
Purpose of role
Carrying out the identification of utility pipes and cables for verification, validation and excavation avoidance using Radio Detection and GPR Techniques, you will arrive at the location and carry out the appropriate tasks as specified by the Project Managers.
Interpreting existing utility information plans, you will survey the area as requested (investigative, non-destructive) and report as needed.
You will be liaising with both internal colleagues and team members and external clients.
Essential professional/technical skills
Good working knowledge of Radio Detection and GPR equipment
Willing to work flexible hours in some cases
Can adapt to varied working environments
Literate, numerate with good communication skills
Willing to travel to destinations
Good computer skills (MS Office, Word, Outlook, Excel etc)
Essential qualifications/training required for position:
The post holder will be expected to attend and pass internal and industry recognised external training courses. Which may include N.R.A.S.W.A, CSCS, manual handling and equipment familiarisation. This, along with other training and sponsorship will help develop your career and skill base.
Desirable / Bonus
Relevant Utility industry related qualifications, certifications or equipment qualifications in the RD and GPR sector or training therein.
This role has a salary band of £24,000 to £34,000 dependent on previous experience
