At GAP we take very seriously the need to train young people to ensure the future prosperity of our industry. We are currently looking for an Apprentice Hire and Sales Coordinator to join our Plant and Tool depot.
An apprenticeship with GAP allows individuals to learn, work, earn and get qualified all at the same time. Paid a salary by GAP you will 'earn as you learn'.
You must be 16 or over to start an apprenticeship and your local CITB office can help you get things started.
Our training programme includes time at college on a 'block release' basis of modules lasting one week at a time over a two year period, as well as periods based in the depot working with our fully qualified Hire and Sales Coordinators. Apprentices who do not stay within travelling distance of the selected college will be required to stay overnight/live away in fully paid accommodation for the duration of the course. In total, it takes two years to successfully complete a GAP Apprenticeship. This will lead to the award of NVQ/SVQ Level 2/3 in Hire Desk Operations.
All training and related expenses are covered by GAP and the CITB and include college course fees, accommodation and travel expenses. You will also be paid a salary during the course of your 2 year apprenticeship
Hire and Sales Coordinators in a GAP depot work Mon - Fri, 0730/(Apply online only)/1730 and are responsible for providing customer service and completing all paperwork in relation to hiring out equipment. Within GAP, our apprentice will go on to become a fully qualified Hire and Sales Coordinator, who have in the past progressed to the posts of General Manager of a depot or Area Sales Representative.
We are currently looking to recruit keen and enthusiastic, individual with a logical and practical approach.
Applicants will have, or be working towards, GCSE Grades C/D or SCE Standard Grades 3 / 4 (or equivalent) in Math and English.
