As the Programme Manager your responsibility is to ensure that the company delivers on its commitments to its customers. With the allocation of certain customers and without anyone directly reporting to you, you will work as the hub in the organisation, pulling together all activities that are required to deliver the defined products and services. Support the sales team in developing new customers:
Ensure that commitments are clear and deliverable.
Determine the alignment with other customers and projects.
Identify the resources and costs that would be required.
Own the customer product and service delivery throughout the lifetime of the relationship:
Understand, plan and communicate our commitments and resource requirements internally
Coordinate and communicate all activities required for a timely delivery of our commitments.
Keep the customer informed throughout the process.
Manage any deficiencies both internally and with the customer.
Log and monitor internal resource usage and costs.
Work with the Vessel Performance team to deliver timely product enhancements to support customer needs:
Help identify gaps or opportunities in our products or services.
Ensure that the development team understand the new requirements and their importance.
This is a challenging role for a driven individual who is capable of motivating and inspiring teams to deliver on their commitments.
The ideal candidate will be an excellent team player and very good in front of customers but they will also be diligent, organised and an excellent communicator. Qualities for this role are really those skills developed through project management experience and the candidate should be able to demonstrate a relevant track record over at least 3 years, most likely in a technical environment.
The following would be beneficial:
Qualified to degree level or beyond in a relevant subject.
Formal project management training perhaps including knowledge of Agile software development.
Commercial marine experience.
On board experience or working in or with companies managing fleets or vessel performance would be valuable.
Demonstrable experience of building good customer relationships
