Full time, Permanent role, 40 hours per week
£60,000 - £70,000 depending on experience plus excellent benefits
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Commercial Manager to join my clients team on 54 prison projects across the South East and South West of England, including London.
My client is a well-established Construction and Facilities Management organisation and they are looking to add to their ever growing team.
The main duties of a Senior Commercial Manager:-
To take the lead responsibility in developing, implementing and reviewing effective commercial practices within a project ensuring Cash Management is effective.
Responsible for ensuring an overview is maintained of Risk Management processes and procedures, including acting as liaison for internal audit activities.
Contractual imperatives (duties, obligations, notices, standards etc) are observed and discharged to protect the client's position and entitlements within contract and/or with respect to insurances policies.
Ensure appropriate periodic financial reviews are undertaken.
To implement strategies as agreed with the Business Unit Commercial Director.
To effectively manage the production and delivery of the Project s commercial objectives and commercial elements of the contract management plan.
To effectively support the management and production of an account Contract Improvement Plan.
To manage the performance and development of direct reports, and the effective organisation of the project-wide commercial members of staff.
To deliver effective management information on commercial activity across the project as appropriate.
To provide a commercial appraisal of project for external audit purposes.
To ensure consistency in profitability and forecasting in all elements of a contract and effectively forecast performance.
Thorough knowledge of the principles of Scope Definition and the ability to provide leadership and guidance to all commercial and operational staff.
Ability to understand gaps/shortfall in scope definition and opportunities for the operational phase.
Able to lead in the preparation of services costings and to assess the value of a project as a whole.
To lead in the negotiation of services costings with third parties.
