Employing over six hundred people the company is proud of its reputation providing homes across the UK, working with local authorities and private developers.
Projects include traditional build housing, assisted living, retirement and specialist care homes as well as mixed use/multi-storey developments with design and build project values up to £70m.
As part of their structured five year plan they are looking to grow the SHEQ team to mirror this growth with the appointment of an advisor within the construction division.
The main purpose of the role is to deliver effective multi-site Safety, health, environmental & quality support, advice and guidance on legislation, case law, company policies, procedures and best practice by:
Performing day to day site support visits mostly within the M25
Challenging and providing specialist SHEQ advice at project level
Taking appropriate and robust action for any failings and non-compliance with company standards and expectations
Conducting investigations for allocated accidents and incidents and supporting and developing project team members to perform quality investigations.
Leading and supporting the continuous improvement of SHEQ performance.
Proactively monitoring the closure of actions.
Providing support and advice to subcontractors and suppliers as required.
Delivering pre-qualification and tender documentation relating to Quality, Health, and Safety & Environment as directed.
Providing performance analysis and management reporting as required.
The position reports in to a Senior SHEQ Advisor who in turn reports to the Director - SHEQ
Ideally you will have significant new-build experience (including rc multi-storey developments) with a main contractor on projects between £10million and £70 million and be MIOSH or working towards this. The company is committed to continued professional development and supports relevant industry training.
Typically you will be on sites four days per week with one day at head office in north Kent, easily accessed from the M25.
