The Role
Mechanical Assembly Operative
£7.30 per hour
My client currently has a job for Assembly Line Operatives based in Nottingham. The job will involve working on a busy production line assisting in the assembly of large Circuit Breakers. You will be assembling the mechanical parts of the product using various hand tools. As part of a production line you will be required to work efficiently to ensure the smooth running of the line and completion of the project. The position will be on days Monday to Friday and is a permanent position.

The Candidate
This role will require a candidate with previous experience in assembly work. Ideally the candidate will have a mechanical background and will be experienced with manual handling of large and heavy parts. Experience of working on a production line would be good especially if this required assembling products with hand tools. Initially the work will be completed in Loughborough but after a few weeks will continue in Colwick so the ability to get to both locations will be essential. You may be required to work on site for a couple of days a week which will mean the occasional stay away from home. Expenses will be provided for accommodation and food as will travel. If you have a valid CSCS card this would be advantageous for working on site.

The Client
Our client is based in Colwick, however currently manufacturing parts of a project in Loughborough. They specialise in switchgear manufacturing including large Circuit Breakers and other generators for the power industry. They have recently won a contract for the rail industry which is due to last over 5 years meaning the company will be expanding quickly over the next few years and this is an ideal opportunity to be involved with an exciting and innovative business
