Field Service Engineer, Medical Equipment, South East, Up to £32,000 Basic salary plus £500 pcm car allowance plus mileage allowance and pension and benefits. This is an incredible opportunity with a German manufacturer of hospital medical equipment for an exceptional field service engineer within mechanical and/or electrical engineering.

To apply you will have field service experience within medical equipment, robotics, automation, materials handling, SCADA, PLC, PAC, Instrumentation, Motion control, HMI or similar. In addition you will have some knowledge of electrical engineering and have used technical or industrial software.

This is a very hands-on service engineering role that is ideal for someone looking to continue their learning and development where you will address faults and breakdowns, carry our site assessments, undertake routine maintenance and update the central database with unusual faults.

The role will involve significant training across Europe, particularly Germany, and will commence with a two-month structured training and development programme in Germany. Thereafter you will be expected to be flexible, committed to continuous development and willing to commit to a 5-10 year career role.

To apply you will be highly confident and well-presented field service engineer ideally with a 2.1 or above degree in mechanical engineering, have completed an engineering apprenticeship or have similar formal qualifications. Alternatively you will have five years plus field service experience in one of the fields detailed above having been apprentice trained or possess formal engineering qualifications, such as City and Guilds.

You will be able to work on your own initiative, including planning your own diary, and be a genuine team player that is receptive to the ideas of others.

You will be well motivated with high levels of personal integrity and loyalty.
