Our client is a leading provider of facilities support services, operating from Birmingham up to the Scottish Border. Their portfolio of blue chip clients has expanded significantly in recent years, resulting in this outstanding opportunity for a Project Manager to join their management team in Northern England, specialising in Building Fabric Projects.|
Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will be responsible for the profitable delivery of Building & Refurbishment Projects across a wide ranging customer base, primarily encompassing the FM, Retail & Hotel sectors. Based in their regional office near Warrington, you will work alongside the Project Coordinator and will have responsibility for managing both directly employed operatives and sub-contractors on your Projects.
The role is very customer focussed, and the successful candidate will deal with clients at various levels, ranging from Site Managers to Project Directors. Working with your clients, you will help them throughout the life cycle of a Project, from inception and specification, through to delivery, ensuring each Project is delivered on time, on budget and to the agreed specification. Average Project values are around £10-£20k, but can be as high as £500k. As well as your day to day activities, you will also play a senior role in the management team. Our client has ambitious growth plans in the years ahead and it is expected that the ideal candidate for this position will play a pivotal role in helping to realise those plans.
Given the importance of the position to the future goals of the business, our client is looking for an established professional to fill this role. As the ideal candidate, you will have demonstrable Building Fabric Project Management or Site Management experience, ideally in the FM or Commercial Sector. You will be expected to have sound technical knowledge across a wide range of disciplines relating to the building envelope. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering great service to your clients. You will be organised, motivated and able to work autonomously.
This is a permanent, full time position
