Project Engineer - Capital Projects |
12 month contract minimum with extension potential
£32.65 per hour via limited company
Wigan, FMCG Manufacturer, High volume.
We are looking for an experienced project, capital equipment engineer who can join this worldwide business at a time of change and investment. Ideally you will have managed large capital installations projects for similar FMCG/Food organisation.
You will have strong organisational and operational skills plus the ability to communicate to all levels.
Bring in a profitable successful project on time, ensuring that the project meets the deadlines at each stage, and is delivered to the satisfaction of the end user.
Translating client requirements into practical terms that can be implemented by a team, managing that teams resources, ensuring inter-discipline co-ordination and listening and responding to the team and clients requests.
Maintaining a clean Health and Safety record, monitoring the work on site to ensure safety, quality and environmental standards are maintained to current business, industry and European standards, and identifying problems, taking the lead in developing solutions to those problems and overseeing their resolution.
Act as a primary technical point of contact, preparing schedules, providing design input, pre-planning and resource forecasting both engineering and other technical activities associated with the project.
Liaise with multiple departments on a day to day basis including management, engineers and operatives, as well as evaluating, selecting and co-ordinating contractors, suppliers and safety professionals.
Experienced Engineer with a thorough knowledge of proven and advanced technology and with the ability to apply that knowledge practically to ensure competitive and innovative advantage and should bring an overall creative approach to engineering within the Company.
Recognition as having substantial experience within their particular field and with the Food Manufacturing Industry.
Ability to resolve problems and implement solutions.
Good organisational and interpersonal skills.
Competent oral and written communicator.
Sound knowledge of the food industry and hygiene in order to manage project teams involved in the implementation of new processes, to ensure that they meet both Company and legislative requirements.
Ability to identify engineering solutions which meet the Company"s need to maintain or increase competitive advantage, support long term manufacturing strategy, improve profitability, and provide opportunities for future strategic business decision making.
