ILS ENGINEER - CAMBRIDGE - CONTRACT |
My client is the OEM for a number of ruggadised vehicle systems as well as shelters and deployable systems. Due to a continuingly strong order book they are looking to add an ILS Engineer to the team based in Cambridge.
Applicants must eligible to work in the UK and attain SC clearance.
Reporting to the ILS (Integrated Logistics Support) Manager, the role of the ILS Engineer is to:-
-To undertake ILS tasks in accordance with the customer requirements and to ensure that customer requirements are met or exceeded.
-To ensure that the ILS tasks are undertaken and managed in accordance with the ILS programme.
-To ensure that Projects and Customer Support Managers are assisted in all matters relating to ILS.
-To undertake the ILS tasks in accordance with Def Stan 00-600 and customer specifications.
-To identify any problem areas of the design that would have a high cost and supportability impact on the product and to recommend alternative solutions.
-To undertake Reliability tasks in accordance with Def Stan 00-40 and customer specifications.
-To identify areas of poor reliability in the design and recommend improvements or alternatives solutions.
-To undertake Maintainability tasks in accordance with Def Stan 00-40 and customer specifications.
-To identify areas of the product design which could impact on maintainability of that product. To recommend alternative solutions to ensure that the product is easy to maintain in accordance with the customer requirements and expectations.
-To populate the Logistic Support Analysis Record with the analysis carried out in accordance with Def Stan 00-600 and customer specifications.
-To provide support the proposals department in writing ILS plans for tender proposals.
-To ensure that the tasks are completed in an appropriate timely manner to the customers requirements.
-To support other Integrated Support Activities such as Training Needs Analysis development and information for the development of Technical publications.
-Knowledge of military shelter systems Design, MAX MRP System, Defence Standards and Environments, Awareness of military support skills and capabilities, A full understanding of Quality Management and Control systems.
-Knowledge and use of ILS (including EAGLE software), Reliability and Maintainability (including (Winchell) RELEX software).
-Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation Requirements.
-Knowledge of Integrated Logistics Support Planning, (ISP) and Element Plans.
-Knowledge of R&M Case compilation and Reporting.
-Knowledge of RCM, LSA, Lora compilation and Reporting.
