An industry leader of communicative bespoke solutions is looking to recruit a Radio Communications Field Technician to join their highly achieving company.

As a result, a highly motivated Radio Communications Field Technician is required who will understand the principals of two-way radio communications and IT networks.
As the Radio Communications Field Technician, you will program, install,maintain and fault find the key components of two-way radio systems. Operating on a range of sites including the companies own , clients sites and land-based vehicles you will advise on the proper use of equipment and address specific user issues, which may involve working from home for set periods of time as well as on and off-site.
Taking ownership of technical issues, and working with external suppliers, manufacturers and software development groups, you will work to resolve more advanced issues when necessary and carry out area and site surveys to identify RF/IT equipment location and antenna orientation and provide appropriate RF/IT network design, planning and optimization.
Alongside your main duties, you will also submit technical reports to support the Sales Account Managers and provide 24-hour contact/availability for client service issues on a rotational `on call` basis.
THE ROLE REQUIREMENTS
To succeed within this role you must have a minimum HNC/HND (or equivalent) qualification in a related communications or IT discipline and possess evidence that you have at least five years` experience within installing, testing, and commissioning two-way radio equipment. You will be familiar with the Elements and Interconnectivity of a Basic Network and must be able to define the OSI and TCP/IP Reference Models.
As you will be dealing with the customers head on, you will be able to define the advantages of different Network Layout Options and successfully list the physical and data link layers of the OSI and TCP/IP Reference Models. Product knowledge with two-way radio equipment from Motorola, Hytera , Simoco , Tait , Kenwood and Icom would be desirable and aAn ability to define the concept of Network Security is key. Applicants must have a Full UK driving license.
In return, you will receive a competitive salary of up to £25,000 in an environment which offers great prospects.
This is a permanent position in which you will work 8.30am-17.15pm Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of the role, 24-hour standby is required on a rotational basis.
