An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Manager to join my clients team based in Oxford to support the Hard and Soft services contracts
My client is a well-established Construction and Facilities Management organisation and they are looking to add to their ever growing team.
Keen to hear from candidates who have experience within Facilities Management sector.
The main duties of a Commercial Manager:-
Accountable for specific areas of responsibility and deliverables and manages the associated risks
Delivers activities to support operational objectives for their specific contract, project or specialism
Inputs to planning activities with horizons of typically 6 months to one year
Operates within agreed operational and/or management guidelines
Interacts with client or users around specific work efforts and deliverables
Supports delivery of Health and Safety policy and standards
Manages the activities of others to meet deadlines and quality standards taking account of impact outside area of responsibility
Focus of work is predominantly against defined targets but performs a range of tasks from complex to straightforward.
Manage cost centre budget
Identify ways to reduce cost and improve service
Manage variable costs (e.g. overtime and agency costs).
The requirements of a Commercial Manager:-
RICS qualified or proceeding towards such qualification
Hold a BSc Hons in Quantity Surveying
An understanding of PMS regimes and optimisation of performance under an FM contract is required.
