Job Summary
AECOM's enterprise-wide Change Management Organization (eCMO) has been established to manage change across the business and assist in achieving operational excellence. The eCMO Team develops change management strategies and solutions for company-wide initiatives and tracks initiative performance to provide visibility and understanding to the changes taking place and the experience/impact on our 100,000 employees and customers.

Based in our downtown Los Angeles corporate offices, will lead the design and delivery of project/initiative success criteria associated with end to end change management, inclusive of impacts to people, processes and technology. As a leading member of the project/initiative team, will be responsible for the delivery of change management services, advocating the best and most effective timing for new initiatives, communication and training plans. Will also document and report on capabilities, risks and opportunities to equip the enterprise with the knowledge and skills to successfully achieve initiative goals and objectives.

With a specific focus on addressing and advocating for the people side of change, including changes to business and non-business processes, systems, technology, roles and communications, the Director, Change Management will:
  • Develop, implement and manage enterprise-wide change management services and methodologies to support the successful delivery of initiatives for the stakeholder community with effective benefit analysis, risk management, targeted communication and training plans.
  • Meet with executive and operational leadership to vet and validate the viability, efficacy, timing and value of potential change initiatives and provide guidance on initiative roll outs and turnaround plans for troubled projects.
  • Oversee the change management portfolio and monitor potential scheduling and project conflicts.
  • Partner with the Communications and HR organizations to develop comprehensive communications and training programs.

Minimum Requirements
Candidates must possess a demonstrated expertise in operational leadership, organizational change, implementing, leading and managing broad-based, enterprise-wide OCM projects along with the proven ability to positively interact and engage a range of stakeholders and leaders, expertise in achieving progress by influencing others and partnering with all levels in an organization to move teams toward a common vision or goal. Other skills, experience and attributes include:
  • Ten or more years overall experience, with at least seven years in leadership and project management, in the design and delivery of transformational business impacts in Operations (OpEx), Continuous Improvement, Consulting and/or Finance with complex, global organizations.
  • Extensive experience in partnering with all levels of the organization, including c-suite leaders, and successfully supporting and influencing the decision making process.
  • Detailed working knowledge of change management principles and methodologies.
  • Strong proficiency in project management approaches and tools.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Proven problem solving and root cause identification skills.
  • Strong analytic (including statistical analysis) skills.
  • Excellent influencing, negotiating and decision-making skills.
  • Persistence and a strong focus on deliverables, balanced with excellent teamwork, listening skills and diplomacy.
  • Adept at working in a dynamic environment with a sense of urgency.
  • A strong attention to detail while maintaining strategic focus.
  • Strong hands-on organizational skills - the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, be resourceful and work independently.
  • A creative thinker who can recommend and implement process improvements.
  • Bachelor's Degree.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience utilizing Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint and Project Management (including cloud based options), BI Visualization and statistical software.
  • Lean and/or Six Sigma certifications.
  • Experience facilitating Kaizen/Work Out, brainstorming and decision-making workshops/events.
  • Change Management Professional designation.
  • Project Management Professional designation.
  • Advanced degree.
