To supervise and manage on a day to day basis the operation of a programme. Responsible for Supervisors, working foremen and a team of operatives and sub contractors
1 To monitor and control work flows in accordance with work programmes and take appropriate action to ensure compliance with contract programmes at all times
2 To monitor progress and completion of works to both foreman and the team of operatives.
3 To manage and control the operation of multi-trade tickets, including both the manning requirements and the administration elements of checking off completed works, correct information for invoicing etc.
4 To manager the use of sub-contractors, ensuring that they comply with all Company standards of work performance, customer service and procedures.
The primary reporting line is to the Senior Contract manager. However, the job role will include a close working relationship with other Managers.
This role requires a person with the ability to communicate at all levels with the client's representatives.
Management of operatives so as to maximize contract performance against contract programmes,.
The jobholder will liaise with the client and agents of the client, branch staff, operatives, head office staff, other branch managers and employees .
1 To co-ordinate the allocation of work to both supervisors and the team of operatives. Liaising with senior management ensuring at all times works are undertaken in accordance with contract programmes.
2 Measure operational performance against contract programme
3 To check that work has been completed, signing off the operatives work sheets and passing these to an administrator. Via the internal I.T. system. Ensuring that all time sheets are accurately completed, and that all information entered onto the system is accurate
4 To act as the first line manager of foreman and operative, controlling such elements as, the time booked, standards of work, timekeeping and attendance of employees within the section.
5 To manage the induction and appraisals for all employees reporting into this position. Liaising with the foreman on any employee issues and resolving them as soon as possible so as to establish and maintain a stable and effective team
6 To control and monitor the allocation and use of all plant, materials ,tools , vehicles and stock by the operatives in their work. Ensuring at all times correct use and maintenance of these items by the operatives so as to maximize efficiency and minimize costs
7 To undertake any other duties as required by the Company from time to time, if these duties are of a greater level of responsibility or skill that those required in the post, then full training and appropriate supervision will be provide
