A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a maintenance engineer to join a prestigious and growing company located in Essex. To be considered for the role the maintenance engineer need to be multi skilled, but holding a slight electrical bias would be ideal. The successful candidate for the role will be entitled to a competitive salary package, as well as a bespoke training programme, and a generous holiday allowance.
The successful maintenance engineer will be joining a very successful company who are continuously growing, mostly to meet the demands of the contracts that they are winning. They were backed and supported by a very large group who collectively turnover just shy of £50 million yearly. Moving forward my client is eager to expand the production and maintenance team to meet the demands of their work load, expansion will allow for more opportunity to arisen in the foreseeable future.
The role of the maintenance engineer:
The maintenance engineer will be required to work on general maintenance of the machinery as well as attend to breakdowns. There's a great variety of machinery on site, some of which are brand new and bespoke, as well as some general machinery such as conveyors, packers and heat exchangers. Finally, there are also a number of PLCS on site, mostly Siemens, so the maintenance engineer will need to be able to fault find would be ideal but not necessary.
The maintenance engineer will be strong both mechanically and electrically, but a slight electrical bias would be ideal. Electrically the maintenance engineer will be required to work on invertor drives, star and delta motors, 3 phase motors, and control panels. Mechanically, the successful maintenance engineer will be involved with hydraulics, pneumatics, belts, bearing and chains.
