We are actively recruiting for several strong multi-skilled maintenance engineers to join this Bedfordshire based business on an earlies, lates and nights role. Both electrically and mechanically biased engineers are invited to apply from any FMCG, food, pharmaceutical, heavy or industrial manufacturing background. This company is part of an international group established nearly 100 years ago. They now have operations in 50 countries and several hundred production sites. They are a clear market leader and are at the forefront of their industry worldwide with little to no competition in the UK. Due to a constant drive to expand they are now looking to take on further multi-skilled maintenance engineers to aid the manufacturing of their product.
The Role of a Multi-skilled maintenance engineer:
The successful multi-skilled maintenance engineer will be performing planned and reactive maintenance on a range of equipment. You will be part of a 4 person team working on an earlies, lates and nights pattern with occasional weekend work. You will be working on manufacturing equipment typical of that in a heavy environment. Candidates from a food, pharmaceutical or packaging environment will be capable of this role though will need to consider the nature of the environment as this is heavy manufacturing.
To carry out this maintenance role successfully you can be electrical or mechanically skilled. Mechanically, it would be beneficial if you have previously worked on hydraulics, pneumatics, chains, pumps, belts and bearings. If you are electrically biased you must have an electrical qualification, and be able to carry out single and three phase work and change motors and invertors etc. and be able to identify inputs and outputs on a PLC
