Mechanical design engineer - powertrain
Up to £38,000 + benefits
Engineering is all about coming up with new ideas and solutions to problems and this mechanical design engineer role is offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment where you can challenge the status-quo and be a product of hard work.
You will be working as part of a small, autonomous team on the design and development of powertrain and transmission systems and engine integration for off-highway and construction machines.
" Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering / Automotive engineering / Design etc
" Good working knowledge of either: Hydraulics, Transmission, Structures/Fabrications, Cooling Systems, Brakes, engine integration etc
" Have a clear understanding of Mechanical Design Process - Plastic injection moulding, steel, castings, fabrication etc
" 3D CAD system operation (NX preferable) to conduct design studies and concept work
" Good and logical problem solving techniques
" Clear passion for engineering, ideally with engineering based hobbies outside of work
It would be perfect-a-mondo if you have proven knowledge within an off-highway/ construction / agricultural machine or automotive engineering environment however good solid design ability within other areas would be considered (e.g. special purpose machinery, capital equipment, automated machines and assembly systems, etc)
