Role: Service Support Technician |
Location: You will need to be living in Crawley, Redhill, Guildford, Croydon, Brighton and surrounding areas
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 + pension + private health & life assurance (after period of service) + 25 days' holiday + bank holidays

During your first 3 months, you will be put through a throrough training programme on-site preparing you for your technical support based role. This training will include; training on product range, and see the flow of materials from goods in, to assembly (electrical/electronic & mechanical), test (full system testing, analysis & fault finding) and despatch. You will accompany experience Service Technician's on installations, commissions, tests, service and repair visits.
Once you have completed your training, you will be put into your role in Service Support.
Your core responsibilities, however not limited to, are;
Customer support through telephone and email. Dealing with issues and problems with customers in a logical and calm manner.
Electrical fault diagnosis, reading electrical related drawings, wiring diagrams circuit diagrams, logical approach to fault diagnosis required.
Mechanical fault diagnosis, reading 2D and 3D mechanical drawings understanding measurements and tolerances.
Briefing Service Technicians prior to scheduled work, liaising with them on site regarding faults, installations and service visits.
Planning Service Technicians visits, organising and booking travel arrangements, hotels etc. Liaising with customers to agree time & dates for service visits.
Collection of commissioning information and release codes, updating the database accordingly.
Spare parts administration, identifying parts required, producing quotations, and converting quotes into orders.
Electrical OR Electronic Engineering Qualifications - These could be City & Guilds or NVQ or Degree level
Experience of 3 phase
Ideally worked in a similar role or some sort of maintenance or service or technical support position
Computer literate - The use of Excel is required
Good customer service communication skills (both written and verbal)
