Are you interested in working on the highest profile projects and taking a lead role in their successful delivery? If yes, ATA Recruitment is supporting a key client recruit a Variation & Modifications Manager to oversee all post production change projects before new fleets of trains enter service
This position represents a key hire for our client in 2016 and will be responsible for the management of all variations, modifications and change requests ahead of the full fleet mobilisation of new high speed trains into service.
These variations and modifications will be many and varied, including interior and exterior branding, engineering change and interior reconfigurations amongst others. Working to specifications from multiple customers, this presents a remit close to Programme Management responsible for a multi-million budget.
Beyond delivery of the variation and modifications activities, the Project Manager will also be responsible for all project governance and controls, including all management reporting and evaluation against plan, budget and deliverables.
With multiple interfaces, the Project Manager can expect to be working closely with engineering, manufacturing, procurement and production teams through the full project lifecycle.
As an experienced rolling stock production or modification project manager, you will be able to demonstrate a track record of successful delivery of complex and multiple modification programmes as the number one Project Manager.
You will be comfortable as the budget owner leading projects, defining project scope, establishing the project plan and setting clear targets and deliverables to benchmark progress.
With detailed knowledge of rolling stock design, production and operations your experience must include large and complex project delivery through the entire lifecycle.
With project management qualifications and as an experienced engineer you will be able to work autonomously and under pressure with a pragmatic and methodical approach to project delivery.
A salary of between £60k to £70k is available subject to experience. 'Big Company' benefits offered as standard.
