Think of a vegetable.

Bet it was carrot. Or was it potato? You could have chosen pak choi, or choi sum. In fact, you could have thought of fennel, Jerusalem artichokes or even celeriac. Have you even heard of any of these vegetables? At DGM we are specialist growers, importers, packers and suppliers of niche products like these. With a very broad customer base, you may have even seen our produce in multiple leading UK supermarkets.

We are ideally looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our operational team at our site based in Spalding, Lincolnshire.

Sometimes, our hi-tech machinery is not so hi-tech and can break down on us. This is where you come in. We have the product knowledge and packing expertise but we wouldn't know where to start when it comes to fixing a machine (with the exception of the rest of the Engineering team!)

When you're not fixing machines that have gone kaput, you may be carrying out maintenance on other ones along with some of our other production equipment. You will also get involved with Pulse, Power and Measurement testing (PPM's to you Engineering gurus), fault finding, safety checks along with the installation and commissioning of even more state of the art machinery.

To become our new Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will ideally have worked in a similar type of role in the past. We do ask that you have a minimum of an NVQ Level 2 and have served an engineering based apprenticeship. Also, if you have a National Certificate in Mechanical or Electrical engineering, that would be even better. We don't ask for much do we?!

So, what else is on our wish list? Well, we would ideally like somebody who has a sound level of mechanical and automation experience because we'd really like our production teams to feel like they are in safe hands and can count on an expert to help them.

Our ideal Maintenance Engineer will also have an excellent level of attention to detail to be able to problem solve and fix those parts that the rest of us can't. You'll also need to be a strong communicator as it's vital that everybody is kept in the loop at DGM Growers.

Ideally you'll be very well organised with the ability to meet deadlines as it can be pretty hectic here, especially in peak seasons!

Offering a competitive salary and attractive benefit package, our Maintenance Engineers work a 5 on 2 off shift pattern (which includes weekends) of 48 hours per week. It's all calculated on a Rota basis which will be given to you well in advance.

We are in a pretty remote area, so it is vital that you are able to drive.
If this role sounds like it would be perfect for you, we would love to hear from you
