Excellent opportunity to join a secure contract in the water industry
This is your opportunity to join one of the most dynamic and innovative water contracts in the country. You will be employed by Morrison Utility Services - an industry leading business which has twice won the RoSPA Gold award for health and safety performance.
As part of the IOS partnership with Anglian Water, Morrison Utility Services and Alliance partners Barhale and Kier will deliver reactive and planned capital projects on mainly non-infrastructure water supply and water recycling sites & networks.
The contract will run for 15 years (5+5+5) offering exceptional security for those who are truly wanting to build a stable career in the thriving water sector. This contract is unique as you are embedded with the client. Working out of the Anglian Water offices, the companies operate as true partners and work as one to achieve a common goal.
You will help make a difference to 2.6m households across the region.
As a Civil Team Leader, you will work on projects valued between £2000 to £1,000,000. You will be exposed to duct and pipe laying, slab, path and road construction, tank and chamber construction, highways infrastructure activities, directional drilling as well as find and fix activities.
You will have responsibility for ensuring that all construction works are undertaken safely and with due regard to the environment.
You will work as part of a direct team of site labour to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of projects.
Maintaining site induction records
Carrying out monthly PUWER and LOLER checks
Raising and controlling any SSSA permits
Working to budget and programmes
Becoming the site operational liaison point
Maintaing the relationship with the client
Conducting civil repairs
Carrying out installations and emergency works
Reporting delays, variations and relevant instructions
Knowledge and experience in the water industry desirable
Machine work qualifications & experience desirable
Working knowledge of civils activities including duct and pipe laying, slab path and road construction, tank and chamber construction and directional drilling
To hold relevant CSCS card
Be able to work to a budget and programme
£34,385 inclusive of £200 weekly attendance and quality bonus
Overtime: 1.5x Monday to Saturday, 2x Sunday
Company vehicle and fuel card
29 days holiday inclusive of statutory allowances
