With over 18,000 employees spread over 56 sites, my client lays claim to being the largest food manufacturer in the UK. Since acquiring this site in 2000, my client has transformed it to one of the best facilities within the South East and are constantly investing in new machinery and looking to improve their already outstanding efficiency. With a budget of over £3 million to work with, training and investment in both machinery and staff is regular and considered of paramount importance.
The Role of a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer:
The successful candidate will undertake such duties as planned maintenance, reactive maintenance, involvement in project work and to provide engineering support to production to ensure the performance of equipment is of the desired standard. In addition, you will be expected to maintain accurate and timely records of root cause analysis of failures and work carried out. Some of the machinery you will be working includes, but is not limited to dryers, conveyors, check weighers, wrappers, sorting machines and PLC's.
The successful multi-skilled maintenance engineer must have an engineering qualification (City and Guilds minimum) and be multi-skilled as the role consists of both mechanical and electrical faults. Furthermore, the candidate Needs to come from a food, pharmaceutical, packaging or distribution background as they require previous knowledge/experience of food manufacturing machinery.

SALARY: £35,000- £40,000
