Responsible for providing first line technical leadership to all production staff.
To be able to communicate with the Engineering & Facilities Manager and Production Managers and fellow co-workers to ensure that the planned maintenance of equipment is completed on time and to ensure that the performance and availability of machinery is achieved at all times.
Regularly audit necessary maintenance tasks to ensure the integrity and reliability of the systems.
Ensuring that all compulsory paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
Confirming that the Engineering risk assessment processes relating to all equipment and the Engineering Safe Systems of Work are accurate and operational.
Keep the company's Management team updated with Industry developments, innovations and improvements, which would benefit the company both in terms of efficiency and productivity.
Carrying out the safe and efficient operation, inspection and maintenance of, the electrical systems and equipment both inside and outside.
Ensure all mandatory testing of electrical equipment is conducted and that maintenance of all records of electrical work which has been carried out and is in progress or pending is being recorded.
Ensuring all electrical systems within the building are maintained in accordance with legislation and regulations.
Conduct the company's planned preventative maintenance programme.
The ordering and maintenance of spare electrical, electronic and mechanical parts in accordance with the needs of the company.
Ensuring all mechanical systems within the factory are maintained in accordance with legislation and regulations.
Reacting to all equipment failures in a timely and positive manner. Ensuring that all equipment that has been repaired and recorded is returned to Production in a state that is fit for purpose.
Ensure all outside contractors are on the approved contractors list and have completed the induction process and are escorted and assisted where necessary while working within the building and on other company property.
Assisting the Engineering & Facilities Manager to ensure that all preparation and technical work for new installation or modifications of machinery and buildings are carried out on time, ensuring that all parts and equipment required are on site at the correct time.
Ideal candidates will also have experience of PLC and HMI programming.
