We are looking to appoint a Site Team Leader/Lead WS Driller Rail the individual will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of SI/GI projects as part of a team established by the nominated Project Manager (PM). The role is predominantly site based and will involve the collection and collation of all site information to enable a report to be produced. The role will also assist the needs of the business in delivering safety critical duties on railway infrastructure.
Delivery of SI/GI works to include but not limited to: Window Sampling, Rotary Drilling, Structural Coring, Trial Pitting, Dynamic Probing.
Assist in the delivery of safety critical duties on rail infrastructure.
Where called onto a project delivery team, the individual will undertake duties that draw upon their specific skills, experience and competencies. They will typically report to the PM.
Further project specific duties will be defined by the needs of the project and may include any of the disciplines currently offered within Engineering Services, including but not limited to the following;
- Structural Examinations
- Structural Investigations
- Geotechnical investigations
- Confined Space Work
Undertake other duties in accordance with the requirements of the company.
Lead SI/GI shifts and control work crews ensuring all paperwork is completed to the highest standard.
Operate all equipment used by the SI/GI Team and be proficient enough to train junior members of the team.
Enable the safe delivery of safety critical duties in accordance with Network Rail group standards (Primarily GE/RT/8000 Rule Book).
Supporting the PM to ensure the delivery of all other SI/GI duties to the Clients stated requirements.
Ensure that the allocated project is executed in accordance with appropriate technical, quality and safety standards.
Comply with the provisions of all current legislation relating to Health, Safety and Welfare at work.
QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING COURSES
Academic - Secondary & Higher education (ONC minimum, preferably HNC)
Safety critical competencies: PTS, PO, LXA, LEA, HSM, IWA, PAM, COSS, ES (Training will be given to the right candidates). Once obtained to maintain safety critical competencies.
Full UK Driving licence
Following training to maintain a C1+E licence and comply with associated rules and regulations.
Hold a selection non rail competencies as agreed with your Responsible Manager to enable the delivery of the SI/GI works.
