Mechanical/ Electrical/ Safety Fitters|
AEM Limited, a subsidiary of AMETEK, is a performance and service driven Company and one of the largest independent aircraft component repair and overhaul facilities in Europe.
We have a fantastic opportunity for up to three enthusiastic and energetic individuals, with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed as a Fitter within the Manufacture, Overhaul and Repair (MRO) sector of the aerospace industry. The work is interesting and challenging, with quality assurance at its heart. When you consider our work covers the repair and maintenance of fixed and rotary wing aircraft you can understand why.
Based at our Stansted site, the roles are full time and cover a range of workshop activities, including the overhaul/repair of components such as generators, actuators, IDGs (Integrated Drive Generators) oxygen cylinders and valves, fire extinguishers, escape slide and rafts.
Working in our clean, bright and ventilated workshops, the successful candidates will work within small teams on a wide variety of aircraft components in accordance with industry specification requirements.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
We would be interested to receive applications from individuals with hands-on experience, in any of the following fields: Compressed Gases, Power Generation, Actuation, Electrical Fault Finding and Safety Survival Equipment.
We are looking for individuals who have a genuine interest in the aerospace industry sector, who are flexible, eager to continue their development, want to learn new skills and are willing to attend training courses, on and off site. To succeed you will need to apply numeracy and literacy skills on a daily basis and therefore you must have as a minimum GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English. You should be IT literate, with experience of Microsoft office suite, with experience of working in an engineering/workshop environment. Of additional benefit would be prior experience of working within the MRO aviation sector.

Other Information: These roles are physically demanding. Employees will be required to meet the physical requirements of the role on a daily basis.
Working Hours: 39 hour week; 08.00 - 16.30 Monday to Thursday and 08.00 - 15.30 Friday
Salary: Up to £24,000 depending upon experience
