As a result of our client securing a number of new contracts an opportunity for an experienced contracts coordinator in the Bristol Area has arisen. They have just created a new role which would perhaps suit someone looking to make the first step into Contracts Management.
In this role you will have.

Involvement at tender stage assessing method of working , resources for specific operations and estimate overall program period.
Reviewing specific Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
Review site specific strategic plans.
Preparation of construction programs and monitoring progress.
Attending site meetings when requested.
Applying for Road Opening Notices, to include the liaison with Service Authorities and Statutory Bodies.
Applying for Road Closure Notices, to include the liaison with Service Authorities and Statutory Bodies, negotiating diversion routes, arranging advance warning notices etc.
Appling for Statutory Agreements such as Section 50's etc.
Design, placement and monitoring of Traffic Management schemes.
Attending site meetings as required to represent the Technical Director for example, inspection meetings with a Highways or Water Authority Inspector.
Communicating regularly with our site engineers to ensure they have all the relevant information required, i.e. current drawings, specifications, etc.
Ensuring Site Engineers records are maintained and the information filed i.e. station information, foundation records, and quality control records.
React to any alert regarding new / revised Health & Safety policies and to any infringements reported by either by our internal Health & Safety staff or our external advisors.
Vetting proposed Sub-Contractors in respect of the ability to complete the works detailed within the enquiry to a satisfactory standard and on program.
Assisting with information supplied to sub-contractors, i.e. drawings, specification and inspection of work in terms of quality and progress.
To ensure all necessary material samples are taken, sent for testing and results reviewed.
Reviewing CCTV Surveys and arranging the most economical way to complete any defects if found.
Preparation of maintenance schedules, liaising with Local Authorities during and throughout the maintenance periods to achieve Final Adoption within given time scales.
Assisting Buying Dept. with approval of documents and specification prior to orders being placed for specific items.
Assisting with our Customer Services department which may involve visiting sites, consideration of liability and reporting back to our Customer Services Dept.
Attending monthly Construction Team Management.
This is a role that would suit a well organised individual, you will need an excellent background in Groundworks and Civil Engineering and enjoy the contracting side of work. It will be office based with site visitis.
The salary will include a package including a company car or car allowance.
