I am currently recruiting on behalf of my client who is looking for an experienced site manager in Wellington. The opportunity is to join them on a freelance position of around 3 months which could possibly turn into a permanent basis. The working hours will be 8am-5pm Monday to Friday

Daily Responsibilities of site manager Include:

* Work closely with the Contracts Manager and Surveyor implementing any agreed actions and acting accordingly

* Ensuring that the project requirements, specifications, design drawings, health and safety proposals are all read, understood and agreed and that a project programme is in place

* Prepare, implement and monitor company policies, detailed programmes, management plans, environmental and site specific procedures to ensure that these are adhered to

* Prepare information required to schedule in collaboration with the Design manager ensure that timescales are met

* Assist the Contacts manager in leading internal teams

* Work closely with the site commercial and design personal ensuring the necessary records are maintained and available as required

* Promote and maintain good working relations with visiting consultants, stakeholders, neighbours and other third parties

* Maintain the highest standard of site presentation at all times

* Supervise various trades/labour staff

* Monitor the performance and effectiveness of direct reports

* Identify any potential site issues and escalate appropriately, resolve disputes should they arise

* Prepare, implement and monitor Target Zero Defects procedures

Requirements for the role

* SMSTS/SSSTS * First aid at work * A valid UK driving licence * Own PPE - High vis vest, safety glasses, gloves, dust mask and hard hat can be provided by Daniel Owen
