A successful medium sized Main Contractor is looking to add some Assistant Quantity Surveyors to the already successful commercial team. With a turnover of £50 Million, the majority of which is repeat business my client has a recognised and established name in and around London. With typical projects in both private and public sector my client cover areas such as Education, Community Centres and Commercial. The general values of projects range from £500,000 to £10,(Apply online only). The type of people like prefer are ones who have drive and ambition. This company classify an Assistant as someone who is most likely degree qualified or completed construction related courses in college, covering surveying and you would also have 2-5 years experience. This experience could have been achieved through day release or through working, post completion of education.
An Assistant Quantity Surveyor would typically look after a couple of smaller valued jobs, reporting into a Managing Surveyor. Depending on your experience you would most likely have full control of costs on certain projects, with the results and profit, firmly falling in your hands. You may at times be expected to work alongside a senior team member on larger projects.
The ideal candidate MUST have;
• Further construction related education, ideally a degree within Quantity Surveying.
• At least 2 years Quantity Surveying experience
It is desirable to have;
• Completed a Management Training Program with a rival Main Contractor
• A quantity surveying degree or similar.
