A new, exciting and rewarding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Clerk of Works to perform site inspections and monitoring on a variety of projects including refurb and new build for a leading national consultancy. Earning up to £40,000 per year plus benefits and working out of their head office based in South London, this position could provide career changing prospects for the right candidate.
The successful Clerk of Works will have experience of:
* Familiarising themselves with all of the drawings and written instructions - using them as a reference when inspecting work
* Residential construction - whether that be houses or purpose built flats varying in age
* An understanding of the building industry - materials, trades, methods and the law
* Checking work and materials
* Asbestos awareness
* Interacting with colleagues, clients and residents
Please note that the ideal Clerk of Works will have experience of conducting site inspections on residential properties. Relevant professional qualifications are desirable but not essential providing that a significant level of experience can be demonstrated. Membership of the Institute of Clerk of Works also desirable.
