Hosted Systems Support|
This role is working on monitoring and administering critical systems for customer transactions. It is the kind of role where you will spend a fair amount of time doing routine monitoring but every now and again have a mad few hours is something goes wrong. You will need good spoken English and be personable as you will be taking calls from corporate customers who wish to check whether things have happened as planned and also to deal with / escalate issues etc. Likewise your written English must be good enough to respond to similar email/chat queries. You will also be expected to pro-actively inform customers of faults/issues when they are noticed.
You may have come from working as an systems administration in an environment such as a hosted datacentre or a NOC working on either Linux / Unix or Windows machines (they can teach the details of their systems), enjoy customer interaction (ideally understand ITIL processes) and be able to work shifts. The shifts are still being finalised as this is a brand new project/department but are likely to be earlies and lates mon-fri rather than overnights or weekends, these shifts will be set after discussion with applicants to ascertain what pattern would fit people best.
Due to the nature of the data being dealt with strict reference procedures are in place so you must be able to have the last 10 years of work history easily discoverable / checkable. Site easily reached by public transport at all hours / days of the week
