Software House - Insurance
Wickford, Essex

An excellent opportunity has arisen to work for an expanding and progressive software house who provide enterprise software solutions for the Insurance Industry.

Skills: (Knowledge and understanding of the following are favourable)
SQL Server, Delphi, C#, (url removed), Enterprise Architecture, MS Visual Studio, MS Office products.

Role Overview
Reporting to the development manager you will be working in an established and vibrant software delivery team in a mix of different projects; occasionally working alone or as part of the development/project team, depending on project size.
Technical skills should preferably include SQL Server and Visual Studio/Delphi but our client would consider candidates who have worked/studied using similar technologies.
You will be a self-starter with a good educational background and preferably an IT relevant Degree, or relevant industry experience. Any relevant industry accreditations would be advantageous.
In addition to software development, the role will sometimes involve dealing with customers to determine requirements, and present completed solutions.

Core responsibilities:
* SQL Database administration/development
* Visual Studio / Delphi / SQL programming
* Work from specifications and from own intuition
* Advise of technical solutions & architecture
* Work within/ Lead a team of developers
* Liaise with Customers to understand requirements & deliver solutions

Additional Responsibilities:
* Performs related work as assigned.
* Candidate should be able to install software applications and components.
* Ability to set-up PC operating systems, applications and software from scratch.

Salary: £20-26k - depending on your experience and qualifications
Benefits: Pension, 25 holiday (plus BH), Private Medical Insurance, Death in Service (x4), travel loan.
Working hours: 09:00 - 17:30 Mon-Fri.
