Morson International is pleased to offer this fantastic role on behalf of our client who is currently seeking to recruit a Head of Technology and Business Applications to be based in Cumbria on a Permanent basis.
Reporting to the CIO, The Head of Technology and Business Applications will have the overall responsibility for the definition of ISO architectural strategy cognisant of technology trends and business needs. Provision of technical advice and guidance for implementation and delivery of the strategy whilst leading teams in enterprise architecture, systems analysis, application development and application portfolio management.
-Senior level management.
-Leading technical aspects of strategic decisions regarding IT for the enterprise.
-Implement and manage those initiatives with complete autonomy.
-Makes decisions for the organisation based on the highest degree of technical complexity and through understanding the far-reaching implications across the IT organization.
-Directs and mentors a team of architects and application technical staff.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
-Develop the enterprise architecture including standards and policies to create an appropriately balanced suite of enterprise business, information, technical and solution architectures.
-Identify and analyse enterprise business drivers to develop enterprise architecture requirements.
-Analyse technology industry and market trends and determines potential impact upon the enterprise.
-Develop enterprise architecture governance in line with business and IT strategies.
-Focal point on, and ensures compliance with, IT standards, policies and architectural plans.
-Oversee enterprise architecture implementation and ongoing refinements.
-Communicate and educate the business on enterprise architecture standards.
-Act as a consultant in the development of IT solutions for business needs.
-Maintain in-depth knowledge of IT industry best practices, technologies, architectures and emerging technologies.
-Responsible for the full systems development life cycle management and management of business applications portfolios.
-Provide direction for technical resources.
-Actively participate in long-range strategy planning and manage policy development to address complex business issues, provide leadership to cross-functional teams.
-Participate in the development of ISO strategy.
-Ensure corporate governance processes are followed for all aspects of ISO work.
Qualifications & Experience:
-BSc or MSc Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field
-Extensive experience of IT and business/industry work experience
-Architecture design & deployment, systems lifecycle management and infrastructure planning & operations experience
-Leadership experience in managing multiple, large, cross-functional teams or projects
-Senior level management and key stakeholder engagement and management
-Advanced technical and business knowledge in software development life cycle, quality assurance, project management and other related disciplines/processes
Location: Cumbria, UK
Working Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Salary: Dependant on experience
