Job Title: Data Architect|
Reporting to: Head of Data Science & Operations (TBC)
Department: Data Science & Operations
Location: Watford, NW London.
CVM People are working exclusively with Camelot to help them build their new Data Operations division - Camelot are a fantastic company with incredible integrity, and who, through their management of the National Lottery, have been responsible for delivering millions of pounds to charities across the country.
We are extremely proud to be working with them.
Camelot are in the early stages of a journey of transformation from traditional, research based customer insight, to the forefront of modern data & behavioural science; with products in 55,000 outlets, an online presence, app, and huge player base, they have a wealth of data (and potential data) the value of which they are now intent on realising. Whilst there will no doubt be a number of "quick wins" with regard to player insight as the team starts to build the basics of data driven marketing into the company's operations, they are also interested in pushing the envelope and applying cutting edge techniques to continually refine and develop an in depth understanding of their customer base.
Deliverables of the role
Conceptual, logical, and physical (big) data models.
Relational database models
Logical data layer security & audit validation.
Master data & metadata management
The retention & archiving policy
Compliance & privacy management
Development of business rules within the data environment
QA for the ETL process and data integrity
Continuous monitoring & reporting
Skills and experience
An in depth understanding of data architecture relating to both traditional (Teradata, Oracle...) and non-traditional (HDFS, Cassandra...) data environments.
Experience developing the architectural piece for at least one data lake implementation in a customer data rich environment - retail/telco etc.
Excellent hands on data modelling skills
Strong business analysis & negotiation skills
