Location: Chatham, Kent

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 + benefits


We are currently recruiting for an ICT Manager in the support of one of our sector leading organisations.

The role will involve working with other senior managers to ensure that information and communication requirements are identified, prioritised, planned and implemented in timescales which will meet the business plans and corporate objectives of the business.

Ensuring that the company is able to meet its corporate objectives through the provision of appropriate IT solutions and ensuring all users have appropriate systems to complete their day to day tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• To develop, implement and maintain the Group's ICT strategy and associated policies in line with Business Plan and technologies available.
• To manage the ICT Division on a day to day basis ensuring all IT and communications services are provided and performed to the agreed service levels.
• To contribute to the overall strategic direction of the organisation.
• To ensure that ICT projects are delivered within budget and on timescale.
• To monitor and control budgets.
• To assist in the setting of annual budgets.
• To identify IT and communications services required from third party suppliers, to specify requirements, prepare invitations to tender and co-ordinate procurement procedures with potential suppliers.
• To keep up to date with developments in the computer industry, specifically with regard to those systems that are relevant to the Group's business.
• To negotiate contract terms and Service Level Agreements (SLA's) with third party suppliers.
• To ensure that users have equipment and access to systems needed to complete their day to day tasks.
• To ensure that ICT policies maintained and adhered to.
• To ensure that suitable ICT training is available to staff.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience of modern and dynamic ICT environments.
• Experience of Project management and system implementations.
• Experience of policy and procedure writing.
• Experience of strategic planning, both with ICT and contributing to the organisation as a whole.
• Experience of delivering customer focused solutions.
• Knowledge of Data Protection law within ICT.
• Ability to manage and motivate staff.
• Experience of negotiating, monitoring and managing SLA's.
• Ability to work under own initiative.
• Flexible in approach to hours worked and willingness to attend events and meetings out of hours during the evening and at weekends (if required).
• Degree level or equivalent experience.
