Job Summary:

The Pre-Sales Solutions Architect is responsible for identifying technical requirements of a prospective customer and mapping to our client's cloud software technical architecture. The individual partners with Executive Account Managers and Pre-Sales Strategic Consultants to understand business requirements in order to inform and advise prospective customers on their cloud integration and security - and to shape a solution that ensures a successful implementation.

Key responsibilities include:

* Providing technical insight and clarity to prospective customers on their travel, pricing and sales product lines
* Developing a deep understanding on the technical needs of customers moving into the Cloud and integrating their on-premise and cloud solutions with the company
* Providing input and support by serving as the subject matter expert for the technical landscape of the company (attend prospect meetings both in person and remotely)
* Presenting on integrations and security matters to target customers
* Serving as a Pre-Sales expert in our client's cloud business and processes
* Assist with technical training for partners and colleagues in Sales and Strategic Consulting
* Leading RFP responses for cloud products and leveraging the team for other areas as needed
* Provide basic technical training for Strategic Consulting, Sales and partner colleagues

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Collaboration and Teamwork

* Ability to collaborate with the Sales team to build a culture of inclusion and team work
* Knowledge of cloud technology or SaaS business in a software engineering, operations or consulting capacity.
* Ability to establish and maintain relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization within the company, in the business community and with vendors

Business Acumen

* Proven analytical and problem solving abilities
* Familiarity with contracts and SLAs
* Familiarity with SSAE 16 SOC 2, PCI, HIPAA, ISO 27001, Cloud Security Alliance and other security or compliance standards
* Familiarity with data centre strategy, including SaaS and Application Management practices
* Experience with pricing, sales operations, technology consulting or business process consulting a plus
* Familiarity with Airline industry a plus


* Can-do approach - if I don't know it, I'll research it


* Confident interacting with C and VP-level audience
* Skilled in translating technical information to the level of the audience
* Critical listening skills - adept at quickly synthesizing prospective customer commentary
* Skilled in communicating conceptual and technical information both verbally (on phone, one-on-one, to groups) and in writing (emails, letters, reports, presentations) to various audiences (work group, team, company management, external customers)


* Proven depth in web-based software engineering or systems engineering
* Familiarity with integration technologies such as RESTful web services SOAP web-services, EAI, ESB and ETL software
* Familiarity with cloud operations and technology
* Familiarity with technical aspects of CRM such as (url removed), Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Siebel CRM, Oracle CRM On Demand, SAP CRM, or SAP Cloud for Customer a plus
* Familiarity or expertise with high-availability, security and networking a plus
* Familiarity or expertise with SAP SD and other ERPs a plus
* Familiarity or expertise with RDBMS and OLAP a plus
* Familiarity or expertise with CPQ and/or Pricing software space a plus
* Familiarity with Airline reservation and distribution systems and market a plus

Education and Experience:

* Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering or Business Administration
* Strong experience in software engineering, pre-sales engineering, professional services, or consulting
* Proven ability to understand complex business and technical concepts
* Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills


* Up to 50% travel within Europe.
