In this job you will...
- Provide input and direction to the accepted solution design based on client requirements
- Maintain a broad knowledge of new technology, equipment, and systems
- Perform some programming assignments requiring an advanced aptitude of established programming standards, methods, and best practices
- Design application and database components for small- to medium-sized development projects
- Maintain and modify web applications; make approved changes by amending application documentation, developing detailed programming logic, and coding changes
- Provide support for web application problems and issues
Your training will...
Start with a 12-14 month IT apprenticeship, which consists of training in small groups and work based assessment, covering: Object-oriented programming (OOP), SQL data modelling, Web and systems development, Event-driven programming.
You will gain City & Guilds Level 3 qualifications in IT Systems & Principles and IT Professional Competence, as well as a Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) in software development fundamentals. This fantastic opportunity can potentially lead to you earning £40k in the IT sector.
Who should apply...
We are looking for someone with a strong academic background who is passionate about becoming a web developer. This is an engineering position not a design one, you will be expected to work on complex programming challenges and therefore must have a logical mind.
You must be able to pick up new skills and technologies quickly because the full stack nature of this position will require you to work in all areas of web development. The successful candidate should ideally have 7 GCSE Grades (C and above) or equivalent, including Maths and English
