You will be working for...
An Information Technology Solutions provider. Candidate will have to work with a small team of technologists and have the opportunity to learn what it takes to deliver enterprise level technical support and services to 350 colleagues working in Insurance in the UK and Europe. Our highly skilled team is responsible for managing and maintaining all of the IT infrastructure from the hardware up to business critical applications supporting hundreds of millions of pounds worth of premiums every year. We are based in the City of London with plans to move to a state of the art iconic building - The Scalpel - as soon as it's built!

In this job you will...
- Provide first-line telephone and desk-side IT support to users on technical issues with their PCs and/or applications
- Manage & document all incoming calls and support tickets in the corporate incident management system
- Be ambassadors for the UK team in all interactions with business and IT users in the UK, Europe and US and continue to deliver the excellent level of service our colleagues expect and are used to

The two Apprentices will cover a working window of 7.30 to 17:30 between them and work a minimum of 35 hours a week with an hour for lunch. The dress code is smart business attire (suit & tie). The main place of work will be the city office but there will be the opportunity to visit the data centres in London and Manchester and maybe some European travel.

Apprenticeships and Vendor qualifications L3
Advanced Apprenticeship Infrastructure Technician Level 3 (equivalent to A- level educational level), MTA Networking Fundamentals, MTA Mobility and Devices Fundamentals, MTA Cloud Fundamentals, One Microsoft MOC on demanded course.

What happens when I finish my apprenticeship...
The expectation is that this apprenticeship will develop into a full time position with the opportunity to move into 2nd/3rd line support roles and eventually specialise in particular technology areas (Wintel, DBA, Storage, Virtualisation, Project Management, etc)
