Position: Electronic and Computer Systems Manager |
Salary: Circa £47K per annum (dependent on experience)
Our client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager to head up a new electronics and computing group into the business. This is a hands on role intended to directly contribute to the development of electronic hardware and software, and control and co-ordinate projects relating to products and systems.
The successful candidate will lead a group of systems developers and have a comprehensive understanding of modern electronics component; circuits and systems; software and computing systems and networks. In addition the position requires an innovative thinker with good management and organisational skills used to working in demanding environments and a track record of delivering successful outcomes on time and on target.
We are looking for someone with a flair for science, maths and IT: someone who is constantly seeking to improve upon the current way of doing things either through creative solutions and ideas, or problem solving from first principles. Previous experience of developing applications for both desktop and mobile devices in a variety of different languages (traditional and web-based), demonstrating your versatility and adaptability is a requirement of the role.
Customer liaison - internal and external - will be a significant aspect of the role in ensuring that developments are focussed and customer-centric. Sound project management and project governance skills and attributes will ensure a responsive, consistent and technically proficient solution is developed.
Understanding terms and conditions of use associated with software, hardware and firmware is essential, as is an understanding of compliance regulations such as EMC and CE marking.
The position is predominantly based at our headquarters building in Kettering, but may involve travel both in the UK and overseas on occasion.
