SDET/ Developer in Test - e-commerce company UK - £60k - London|
SDET/Developer in Test required for what might just be the biggest monopoly hijacking the UK has ever seen! Currently dominating the market within their specialist products, with a huge plans in place to take the no.1 spot over remaining market streams, these guys are looking to change up the way they develop. With a push for faster releases, the move towards full devops and on the back of a huge transition into one single streamlined application, they are putting together a QA team hovering above all teams. The Developer in Test will be key this huge project, firstly understanding how to role out this project, ensuring that the transition doesn't affect the day-to-day running of their existing business, implementing Automation where necessary and building up a specialist team.
What do we need? Due to the nature of their work, you'll get work across multiple platforms utilising your end-to-end testing experience. You'll need working knowledge of an array of automation approaches, along with implementation experience and general strategising and road-mapping form a technical point of view. You'll be an absolute pro with OOP for test. Currently the company is divided with sister companies working separately, you're role will be to ensure that these platforms come together successfully - Agile, TDD approach is the likely plan and therefore will require an experienced agile QA who can prioritise, collaborate and ensure quality in each release - proven through your Agile development experience. This is a niche role that will require an expert and a seriously social Developer in Test - someone who can communicate effectively, having the ability to drop in and out of different product teams, working alongside a range of development teams, management while overseeing the whole of QA. This role is certainly not for the faint hearted!
