Substation Commissioning Engineer X 3|
These positions are based in central Scotland
Immediate start long contract You will need a disclosure Scotland
Rates are daily negotiable For this role you should have worked on Protection and control relays and a relevant substation
Ability to commission all types of equipment to recognised standards and procedures.
Project delivery experience on a full range of complex, multi-interface projects will be required.
Typically, a wide range of experience in substations work and/or on HV cable systems, encompassing electrical, mechanical, civil and telecoms engineering disciplines.
In depth technical knowledge relating to the electrical and safety aspects of substation plant, together with fault finding expertise and plant analysis.
Environmental knowledge and experience in respect of day-to-day duties, together with proven ability to respond to emergency situations.
Minimum HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline, preferably electrical engineering
Qualifications leading to membership of IET or similar professional body
Advanced Commissioning Engineer under National Grid's UK Transmission Procedure TP141
NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
Full driving licence
