Job Title - Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer|
Location - Melton Mowbray
Salary -£37,500 plus overtime and benefits
Shifts - 4 on 4 off (Permanent Nights)
Our client is one of the UK's largest manufacturers of Food, producing a wide range of fresh and chilled foods. Supplying to Supermarkets, local convenience stores and food outlets, they continue to enjoy year on year growth thanks to a buoyant market and growing population.
The business has been investing heavily in upgraded and new equipment for their production lines to meet this growing demand. Established since the 1940's they are the UK's largest privately owned producer of Food, with a turnover of over £850 million a year.
The Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer will be focused primarily on Breakdowns, which account for 65% of the work day to day. The PPM system is fully computerised, with a full Continuous Improvement program running to further reduce downtime, with PPM tasks being divided out amongst the various shifts.
Electrically the Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer will be Fault finding on electrical components using a multimeter against electrical drawings and changing any faulty components, including any mechanical components that have failed. The vast majority of faults will be electrical in nature, with a number due to water ingress due to the production environment.
Production lines include Slicers, Dicers, Salad washing systems, Baggers, Sealers, Conveyors, Domino printers, High frequency blade, Weighing scales, Depositors, Sonic knifer, Shrink Wrappers, Carton Erectors, Metal Detectors and X-Ray Machines.
To be successful in your application you must have the following skills or attributes:
* Must have a recognised Electrical Qualification.
* Must have experience performing maintenance tasks on Electromechanical systems.
Thanks to their excellent training scheme, they can look at candidates from outside the industry. All Candidates will also complete the City & Guilds Pneumatics course upon starting, which is fully funded by the business
