We are currently looking to recruit a number of highly motivated individuals to our Network Control Centre based in our Head Office, Coventry City Centre
You should be enthusiastic and able to demonstrate good mathematical skills, complex problem solving skills and the ability to communicate with a number of stakeholders, including our Field Operations and Customer teams. You will be able to manage your own workload whilst also working closely with other colleagues during busy periods and high priority incidents.
It is essential that you have the ability to work under pressure with several ongoing issues/events, processing complex information and diagnosing and solving problems to give a right first time solution at all times, or escalating problems where needed.
Experience of working in the water industry is not essential for this role, as full training will be provided.
About the role
The role is based in our Network Control team who are responsible for monitoring the water distribution network. The key aspects of this role are to:
- Identify incidents and/or events
- Risk assess all emergency work
- Devise plans where necessary to mitigate risk and minimise the impact to our customers
You will be responsible for monitoring our water network and treatment works to ensure that everything runs smoothly.
Liaising with the Field Operations team, you will also ensure that all planned maintenance on the network is carried out in line with the agreed project plan.
You will play a leading role in incident management, with the ability to respond by taking the appropriate course of action.
The role is 37 hours per week shifted between the 6am -9pm Monday -Friday
