Job Responsibilities:
Golder Associates Ltd.'s Victoria office is looking for a technically and mechanically inclined team member to maintain, track, and distribute technical equipment. The successful candidate will also carry out accurate and efficient billing of equipment and will receive direction from the Regional Logistics and Equipment Services manager. Additional duties will include:
* Cleaning, organizing, and maintaining equipment and equipment storage area;
* Verifying that regular maintenance of equipment (sampling equipment, motors, generators, boats, field gear) is completed and recorded;
* Analyzing equipment problems and carrying out routine repairs of small equipment and tools pre- and post-field deployment;
* Maintaining and tracking equipment and sample inventory into the appropriate database;
* Coordinating proper packing, manifesting, and shipping of equipment and materials to job sites (mobilization and demobilization of field equipment);
* Shipping and receiving locally, nationally, and internationally;
* Handling, storing, and disposing of chemicals used in research processes;
* Adhering to Occupational Health and Safety protocols;
* Communicating effectively with internal clients who include field staff, project managers, and suppliers;
* Various other duties as may be required.
* On-call availability may be required

Job Requirements:
The desired candidate will have the following experience:
* Require own vehicle;
* A valid class 5 BC driver's license;
* Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills;
* Shipping and Receiving experience;
* Strong work ethic;
* First Aid considered an asset;
* Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision;
* Strong people skills and an ability to work in a team environment;
* Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook;
* Technical and mechanical proficiency;
* Some travel may be required;
* Good problem solving and decision making skills;
* Knowledge of process improvement techniques considered an asset.
